BUENA VISTA COUNTY, Iowa — One man died Tuesday night in a crash involving three semis near Storm Lake.
An Iowa State Patrol crash report said the collision happened around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of US-71 and IA-7, that’s just a few miles southeast of Storm Lake.
Indianola couple pleads not guilty in kidnapping case; trial date setA semi driven by Humberto Aladro-Valdes, 63 of Storm Lake, was traveling westbound on Highway 7 when the ISP said he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a semi that was northbound on Highway 71. The northbound semi continued north and its trailer sideswiped the trailer of a semi traveling southbound.
The ISP said Aladro-Valdes was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene of the crash. The other drivers were not injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
