Insane 208mph Batmobile-style hypercar can do 0-60 in 2.7secs... for a crazy 2million

GERMAN makers Apollo Automobil has launched its new Batmobile-style hypercar boasting a top speed of 208mph - and it can all be yours for £2million.

The new IE stands for “Intensa Emozione” which translates to “intense motion" and is reportedly a tenth quicker than the McLaren P1.

It can travel from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds, before topping out at 208 miles per hour.

It is built on an all-carbon structure featuring a roofless tub that weighs just 105kg and carbon bodywork

Boasting aggressive aerodynamic features, the luxury car includes a large, fixed rear wing, rear diffuser and vertical fin.

Described as producing "extreme levels of downforce", the German-made Apollo IE is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3 liter V12 engine.

This ICE unit produces in excess of 780hp and 760nM of torque.

The power unit, developed in partnership with Autotecnica Motor, revs to 9,000rpm.

The IE features three engine Map-modes selected by the driver: Wet, Sport, Track – The selection is indicated on “Engine Map page” on main Display.

Norman Choi, the man behind Apollo, had this to say about his new car: "We felt that all the technological advancement and automation in today’s supercars took away the pure, raw emotional connection between driver and car.

"We wanted to build a car that would fill that void separating car and driver. So we built the Apollo IE."

The company say: "The decision to refrain from using any emotionally dilutive technological systems, such as hybridisation, was made to deliver a modern, yet nostalgically, pure, unadulterated sensory experience.

"The Apollo IE marks the return to the truest, most organic form of the hyper-car. Created from a blank sheet of paper, the IE is the beginning of the next chapter of Apollo."
