An Army National Guard veteran and her husband have been charged in the death of their 2-year-old foster child who was covered in bruises when she died in their Georgia home.
Jennifer and Joseph Rosenbaum were arrested on Friday, two weeks after Laila Marie Daniel died while in their care.
Henry County police responded to a 911 call reporting an infant choking on food at the Rosenbaum's home on November 17. After they arrived, detectives were also called to the scene.

Laila's body was covered in bruises and showed evidence of fresh and past injuries, according to the Henry Daily Herald.
Her four-year-old sister, who also lived in the home, was examined by a doctor the day after Laila's death and similar bruises and injuries were found on her body as well.
The cause of Laila's death has not been released and an investigation is ongoing.
Jennifer Rosenbaum, 27, has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and child cruelty, according to the Henry Daily Herald.
The veteran military police officer and current Emory law school student had recently announced her candidacy for the Henry County Board of Commission.
A Facebook campaign page for Rosenbaum had been taken down Saturday, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Joseph Rosenbaum, 26, faces two counts of child cruelty. He is a legal extern at the Georgia House of Representatives.
Jennifer was chosen to take temporary custody of Laila Marie Daniel by the girl's mother, Tessa Clendening, who she had once been in foster care with, according to 11 Alive.
Clendening wrote on her Facebook that she lost custody of her children due to her 'addiction' and said her children had been kept away from her and her family for five months.
Laila's four-year-old sister has been placed in another home. She never got to meet her two-month-old sister, who is in a different home.
