Photos From The Beloved Film Hollywood Life

A scene from ‘The Princess Bride’ featuring stars Robin Wright and Cary Elwes. The 1987 film was adapted from William Goldman’s 1973 book by the same name. He wrote the witty and well-crafted screenplay that has so many classic lines that many fans who watched it when they were young can still quote them as an adult. The love story/adventure unfolds in the film as a grandfather reads the book to his grandson, who is home sick. It features Elwes as Westley, a poor farmhand who falls in love with Robin’s beautiful Buttercup. He goes away to make money and be able to marry her but is attacked by the Dread Pirate Roberts and believed dead. In his years away she agrees to marry Prince Humperdinck. Westley turns into a masked man to save his true love from a marriage she does not wish, and goes through so many adventures along the way to find her again.
